Applications and Advantages of Extruded Fin Tubes

Extruded fin tubes are produced with the process of rotary extrusion such that it can have integral fin tubes. Such tubes are manufactured by introducing a linning of the aluminium extrusion. The tube as a whole is crushed near to the lining while the surplus materials are pushed out to form spiral fins. The process strengthens the tube and the fins while also preventing galvanic corrosion. The galvanic corrosion can take place if the alloys of two metals are exposed to the air, similar to the other kinds of finned tubes. But if you choose a reputed extruded fin tubes supplier, the fins of these tubes will not break or coil and even the lining will remain intact. This lets the heat exchanger have enhanced thermal performance.

To understand more, you need to know the types of finned tubes.
No matter if it is with or without lining, the finned tubes are generally divided into two:

  1. Standard Extruded Fin Tubes or Aluminium Extruded Fin Tubes
  2. With a lining of pure copper or copper mixed with other alloys like carbon steel, titanium, nickel, stainless steel and others.

Features of Extruded Fin Tubes:

  • No possibility of the base to have a galvanic corrosion
  • The rugged fins are resistant towards high-pressure cleaning without any warping and bending
  • Lets the tubes to perform superior transfer of heat and has performance consistency of a lifetime
  • Can be made of custom length and shipped according to the requirements
  • These extruded fin tubes can have optional sleeves or bell at the end of it that can be reduced in size

Applications of Extruded Fin Tubes

  • Heating units
  • Cooling units

Advantages:

  • Can be easily cleaned with a jet stream of water without disturbing the fins
  • Reliable to perform its task
  • Uniform heat transfer
  • No galvanic corrosion, even between the tubes
  • The fins of the tubes are also resistant to vibration
  • Great for industrial application

Plant operators usually prefer the aluminium extruded finned tubes as they are considered superior and can fit in any plant. If you are looking to get these tubes for your own industry, get in touch with Anand Seamless. Call us at +91-9099996854 to know more!

How to Store Seamless Pipes in Warehouses or Sites

Industries have evolved and so has the need of having a superior quality of plant and equipment that will help to boost the quality of products or goods produced. Due to this reason, seamless pipes have also evolved and developed to have a plant that works beyond the basics. But with these advancements, the seamless pipes also require some better considerations towards storing these pipes.

How Do Seamless Tubes Enhance the Business Production?

With great tensile strength and a solid round shape, you might have noticed these seamless tubes in many manufacturing units. Someone who is a novice to the workings of the manufacturing units may just find these tubes to be ordinary with no unique feature.

The Manufacturing Process of Seamless Tubes

The people who have been in the business of manufacturing seamless tubes will be well aware of the primitive technology of rolling mill, used widely in the nineteenth century. This technique was used to produce seamless pipes and tubes to be used in industries. The whole procedure is long and included the following steps.

Know All About Fin Tubes and Their Types

Fin tubes can be recognized to have small fins on its outside surface making everyone detect them easily. These fins are not for show, they act as a transfer mechanism and filter, flowing the heat from outside to inside and vice versa. You can never fix the rate of the heat transfer by merely looking at the tube as it depends upon three factors.

Types Of Polishing for Seamless Tubes

With a high tensile strength and high resistance against corrosion and contamination, seamless tubes and pipes are surprisingly easy to install. They can withstand any weather and is highly cost-effective, making it an ideal choice for many plant designers.
