Seamless carbon steel pipes are non-corrosion resistant but can develop rust if they are placed in a moist area without any storage. We have mentioned a few ways you that can successfully remove corrosion and rust.

1. Pickling
Pickling can help remove old coatings, scale, and rust. At times, it is used for sandblasting after de-rusting through another process. It makes the surface clean and rough but also emits pollutants in the environment.  

2. Using Tools For Rust Removal
You can use a wire steel brush to remove upturned or loose oxide, formed on the surface. Also, there are other tools that reach the Sa2 or Sa3 grade. Find a suitable tool.
Note: If the iron oxide is solid and is stuck to the surface of the seamless steel pipe, then using a cleaning tool will not do the job.  

3. De-rusting Spray
A de-rusting spray can help you remove rust, dirt, and oxides from the seamless steel pipes. It helps with increasing the absorption effect of the pipe’s surface while also enhancing the anticorrosive layer. This makes Spraying an ideal method towards rust prevention and protection for seamless pipes.
